Possibly rainy start to Christmas week

Coushatta is kicking off Christmas week with a bit of winter dampness in the air.

Monday could bring a rainy start to the week as showers move through early. Expect an overcast sky with mild temperatures — perfect for grabbing holiday errands under an umbrella or cozying up indoors with a warm drink. Rain may taper off in the evening, but wet conditions are likely through much of the daylight hours.

Tuesday, however, wastes no time drying things out — and warming up. Skies clear, rain exits the scene, and temperatures jump to a high around 76°. It’ll feel more like spring than the days before Christmas, making it a great day to wrap up errands, air out the house, or enjoy a little time outside.

So expect a soggy Monday followed by a sunny, warm Tuesday — a classic Louisiana weather switch-up to kick off Christmas week.
