All Aboard Outreach Ministries and Mayor Ashanti Cole presents a Parish-Wide Thanksgiving Feeding Sat Nov 15 at 12pm at the Old Vo-Tech Building, 423 Wilkingson St. Everyone is welcome. It is first come, first served. 

Red River Junior High is holding a school uniform drive. The school is asking for donations of gently used uniforms and school approved jackets for the school uniform closet. Drop off at RRJH Front Office.

DESRI and Cleco Power will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Dolet Hills Solar Power Facility at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1005 Shamar Patrice Road, Mansfield. When complete, the 240-megawatt site will rank among Louisiana’s largest solar projects, helping deliver affordable and reliable clean energy to residents across the state.

The Coca-Cola Santa Truck will be at Northwestern State University from 3:30-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 and families are invited to take a free family photo. The visit coincides with the Northwestern State Demon football game against the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks in Turpin Stadium. Kick-off is at 6:30 p.m. The Santa truck will be parked outside Turpin Stadium near Collins Pavilion where the NSU Alumni Association will host a pregame tailgate with food and beverages from 4-6 p.m. The cost is $10 for Alumni Association members and $15 for non-members. The cost of children 12 and under is $7.
