September 3 was the regular meeting of the Red River Parish Police Jury. All members were present.

Visitors at the meeting included Mr. Steven Hickman, representing the Engineering firm for the new administration building. He discussed the progress made in the past few weeks.

Permits and fines for the commercial vehicles unit totaled more than $32,000 for the month of August. There is an expectation of a rig moving on to the new pad at Sandy Bayou within the next two weeks.

The Board of Review for the Police Jury will be held on October 1, 2025, at 9:30 am in the Police Jury meeting room.

Budget discussions centered on the continuing theme of low sales tax revenue and increasing costs for all supplies and repairs.

The meeting was adjourned after approving the payment of bills for the Police Jury, Ambulance District, and airport.
