Final suspect in Natchitoches Parish burglary apprehended by Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office

The Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office (RRPSO) has announced the successful apprehension of Dustin Mack, the final suspect wanted in connection with a recent burglary in Natchitoches Parish.

On Wednesday, deputies received a tip that Mack was spotted near Highway 155 at the parish line. Responding swiftly, deputies launched a coordinated search effort utilizing specialized resources. K9 Max and his handler, Sgt. Lee Petersen, tracked Mack’s movements, ultimately leading to his capture.

In addition to the K9 unit, the department deployed its drone team, piloted by Lt. Darren Keel, to provide aerial surveillance and assist ground units during the operation.

Previously, the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office (NPSO) had apprehended two other suspects involved in the same burglary case. With Mack now in custody, all individuals connected to the crime have been accounted for.

Mack will also face criminal trespass charges in Red River Parish.

Sheriff’s officials confirmed there is no further threat to the community and expressed gratitude to both deputies and local residents for their cooperation.

This coordinated effort highlights the strong partnership between law enforcement and the community, ensuring safety and justice across parish lines.
