
The NSU Summer Dinner Theatre will present “Dinner and Doo Wop” July 22-26 and July 29 – Aug. 2 at The Venue on Front Street located at 530 Front Street in Natchitoches. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

According to multiple media outlets, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has officially ended its policy requiring travelers to remove their shoes at airport security checkpoints. Effective July 7, 2025, this change applies to all passengers, regardless of TSA PreCheck status.
The Red River Tourism Commission is putting on the first Red River Block Fest on July 19 at the Coushatta Ball Park. The family-friendly event goes from noon to 8 p.m. The fun features live music and disc jockeys, a barbeque contest, food and vendors, and games for all ages. Save Lydia Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, July 26 at Northwestern Hills Golf Course starting at 8am. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, longest drive and closest to the hole. In early 2024, Lydia was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome, a neurodegenerative disease that is like Alzheimer’s in children. She will lose all the skills she has gained in her short life, suffer seizures and movement disorders, and eventually die in her teens. Currently, there is no FDA-approved treatment or cure.
