Red River Parish 4-H joined with neighboring parishes and hosted a “Beast Feast” grilling camp at Grand Bayou resort for 4-H members in grades 7-12.
TeAunna Taylor, Johnari Duplantis, Peyton Caldwell, Jesse Fredieu, and Xander Loftin were the Red River Parish participants.
Students learned skills such as seasoning/marinating, handling knives, food safety, and grilling.
They also learned how to cut up a pig and chicken for food preparation.
There was also plenty of time for fun and meeting new friends!
The camp ended with a grilling competition between parishes.
The Red River team won the Best Food Presentation award and Peyton won the Grillmaster award.
