Educators Rising hosts a national conference to convene the network of rising educators and teacher leaders. It’s a unique opportunity for students and their teacher leaders to: Connect and learn from each other through more than 40 breakout sessions; network with other members from across the country; compete for national titles in competitive events designed to allow students to develop and showcase their teaching skills; and be inspired by keynote presentations from national education leaders. At the 2025 Educators Rising conference, students from Louisiana to Alaska, to California all came together to learn and compete in Orlando, Florida. Leadership in education is about empowering students to reach their full potential. It was an honor to witness our very own Red River students deepen their desire to be not just a teacher, but a leader in their community.
This year Red River Parish was represented at the National Conference in Orlando, Florida, for the first time by two outstanding students, Anna Hinson, and Jemarcus Latson, accompanied by their Teacher Leader Intha Fields. Both students competed in competitions that allowed them the opportunity to showcase talents and skills learned in their EdRising class: Anna Hinson – Interactive Bulletin Board, and Jemarcus Latson – Job Interview.
The Red River Parish Educators Rising program ultimate goal is to grow our own future educators, coaches, school leaders, paraprofessionals, counselors, and various other vital education-based positions. Students not only grow as future educators, but as individuals and future leaders.
