
DOTD advises the public that the next bridge site as part of this ongoing project will close for removal and replacement beginning on Monday, March 17, 2025.
This $12 million project includes the replacement of six rural bridges in Red River and Bienville Parishes.
The next bridge site is located on LA 514 over Bayou Chicot approximately 1.8 miles east of US 71 in Red River Parish.
This closure is anticipated to be in place for approximately 8 months, weather and other factors permitting.
The removal and replacement of these bridges ensures the continued connectivity of these communities, and is a critical investment in the state’s infrastructure system.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
