The Red River Parish School Board is aware of allegations regarding inappropriate disciplinary behavior by staff members in one of our Head Start classrooms. Our highest priorities are the safety, well-being, and development of our youngest learners, and we take these concerns seriously.

As soon as we became aware of the allegations, appropriate personnel actions were immediately taken to ensure the safety of our students. We launched a full investigation in accordance with district policies and state regulations. We are cooperating fully with law enforcement and child protective services to ensure a thorough and transparent review of the situation.

We understand that this news may be distressing to our families, and we want to assure our community that we are taking all necessary steps to protect our students and maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment. Counselors and support staff are available for any parents or children needing assistance.

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, we are limited in what we can share now. The investigation was immediately turned over to the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office. However, we will provide updates as we are given information. We encourage parents or individuals with concerns or information to contact school administrators.
