We weren’t crazy, Siri’s been listening all along!

We’ve all thought our iPhones were listening to us, and now we know we weren’t crazy!

Last week, Apple agreed to pay $95 million to settle a lawsuit accusing the company of using Siri to eavesdrop on people. The settlement is now awaiting approval by a US District Judge.

The lawsuit alleges Apple captured private conversations when Siri was activated accidentally and then shared this information with advertisers. It also claims Apple was aware this was happening and did not inform people that they were regularly being recorded without consent.

You could be eligible if you owned any Apple Siri-Enabled device between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024. The only catch is that you’ll have to swear under oath that you experienced Siri activating unintentionally and had private conversations recorded.

Once the settlement is approved, a website will be set up, and you will have until May 15, 2025,
