Tuesday, Jan. 7 from 5-6pm Red River 4-H will have an introductory meeting for anyone interested in shooting BB as part of the Shooting Sports team. The meeting will take place at the 4-H office.

Man Church has moved back to The Shop, 1942 Hwy 507. Join them Thursday, Jan. 9 at 6pm. Speaker will be David “Bryar” Barton of Briarwood Baptist Church. Dinner will be provided.

The 3rd Annual Hall Summit Hometown Festival and BBQ Cook-off is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 from 9am until 6pm at the Hall Summit Community Center and Park. There will be 3 Meat BBQ competitions–half chicken, pork spare ribs and beef brisket. All money raised will go towards building a playground at the park.

McDonald’s launches their revamped value menu, McValue, tomorrow (Jan. 7, 2025). The menu will feature $5 Meal Deals, local promotions, and a new Buy One, Add One for $1 deal on fan-favorite items.

Internship opportunity for College Students–The LSU AgCenter ASPIRE program is offering a 10-week paid summer internship program for college students ($15/hour). The priority deadline to apply is March 7. Placement is open to everyone, and the program prioritizes recruiting and mentoring underrepresented and disadvantaged students.
