
Social media is ablaze with talk of an artic blast heading our way that could bring severe cold conditions to the ArkLaTex. Even rumors of some snow and possibly other wintry precipitation.
Pretty much all weather personnel are confident that a very cold weather pattern will impact our area somewhere between Jan. 6 – 15.
KSLA Meteorologist Matt Jones shared that he’s seen enough consistency in forecast models to believe there will be some impactful winter weather by midweek. However, he cautioned, “We are still several days out from this and plenty can change between now and then.”
It’s still way too early for accurate predictions but definitely something to watch closely and a good time to start preparing/gathering hard freeze prep supplies.
