The Grinch will be at We Rock The Spectrum today from 10:30am until 12:30pm for those last minute pics. WRTS (281 Southfield, Shreveport) will also have Open Play during this time. 

Natchitoches will once again be filled with holiday cheer, live music and of course the popular drone show and fireworks Saturday, December 28. The day’s lineup includes a Holiday Kids Fest from 10am-6pm; live music with Cane River Soul and Becky & the Shuffle Kings from 3:30-8:30pm; 7pm drone show and fireworks over Cane River Lake. Free admission all day.

The North Central Livestock Show will take place at Sabine Parish Fairgrounds Monday, January 20, 2025. Beef, dairy, goat, swine and sheep classes. Open to ages 9-18 from Sabine, DeSoto, Natchitoches and Red River Parishes. Barn opens at 8am and show begins at 10am. Contact the Red River Parish 4-H office for entry forms and more information.

President-elect Donald Trump proposed ending the practice of springing forward and falling back. In a post on TruthSocial, Trump wrote, “The Republican Party will use its best efforts to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, which has a small but strong constituency, but shouldn’t! Daylight Saving Time is inconvenient, and very costly to our Nation.”
