This week the outstanding Riverdale Academy students selected as Students of the Month for November were presented their recognition.   Coushatta Post and Auxiliary 7287 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars came to the East Point campus to present the awards.

The Riverdale Elementary student for November is first grader Emberly Ross. The Riverdale Middle School student of the month is Noah Guillory from the fifth grade.  And Lily McCoy, a freshman, was named Riverdale High School student of the month.

Each month of the school year students from all schools in Red River Parish are selected by their teachers and school administrators for their outstanding academic work, their helpful attitude with their fellow students, and leadership at school and in the community.  The local VFW post and auxiliary has partnered with Lott Oil/Chevron to present certificates and gift cards to each student.  If you wish to know more about the Student of the Month program, call VFW Post 7287 at 932-6557.
