Saturday, December 14 at 11:00, Coushatta Chute DAR and Springville Cemetery will host a Wreaths Across America program. Due to weather forecasts, the ceremony has been moved to the First Methodist Church on Front Street in Coushatta.

The ceremony will feature Lt. General (ret.) Tom Jones as the guest speaker and wreath laying by veterans of four branches: Army—Alex Ray Penny, Navy- Justin Thompson, Marines- Ross Gamble, and Air Force- Tom Jones. Included in the program are the Young Marines of Red River High School and the youth choir of Riverdale Academy.

268 wreaths have been placed at Springville on the graves of all identified veterans.
