Northwestern State University will officially introduce James. T. Genovese as the university’s 21st president at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23. The reception will be held in the Sylvan Friedman Student Union Ballroom.  The public is invited to attend. 

 

Genovese, who has served as an associate justice on the Louisiana Supreme Court, was named the university’s president July 18 and will assume office in August. 

 

Tuesday’s program will include recognition of local and regional elected officials, figures from Genovese’s personal life, special presentations to the newly elected president and comments from Genovese.
