
Louis Edward Lemons Jr., a native of Coushatta, is serving as the Summer 2024 Band Camp Male Camp Director at Grambling State University. GSU Summer Band Camp is slated for June 23-29.
Lemons attended Red River High School where he was a member of the marching band. After graduating in 2009, he continued his education at Grambling State University majoring in music education. He was also a proud member of the World Famed Tiger Marching Band.
After receiving his degree Lemons began his teaching career at Peabody Magnet High School in Alexandria, Louisiana. As band director his band has won several awards in high battle of the bands and has received Excellent ratings in LMEA District Assessment.
In spring 2024, he received his masters in Music Education from Jackson State University.
Lemons is a life member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity and an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi. He believes that music is a way to success and a pathway to individual growth and social development.
