Students of the Month in Red River Parish were recognized this week by the local VFW and Lott Oil Chevron. Each was presented a certificate from VFW Post and Auxiliary 7287 and a gift card from Lott Oil Chevron.

Riverdale Academy Elementary Student of the Month is third grader Ava Taylor. Their Junior High Student of the Month is eighth grader Hannah Murray. And Landen Barrett was selected Riverdale High Student of the month.

November Student of the Month from Magnolia Bend Academy is Jace Watkins. He is in the third grade at the Coushatta campus.

The Student of the Month from Country Day Montessori School is Cooper Garrett. He is in Pre-K at the school.

Public school Students of the Month for November will be recognized at the January meeting of the School Board. Plans are to also recognize the December Students of the Month at that time.

The Student of the Month is a community program originated by VFW Post and Auxiliary 7287 about 10 years ago. In 2022, Lott Oil Chevron joined the program. They award each student with a gift card redeemable at the convenience store.
