BRIDGE CLOSURE: US 84 over Bayou Pierre to be closed 5 weeks

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, November 6, 2023, the US 84 bridge over Bayou Pierre in Red River Parish will be closed for repair.

This bridge closure is scheduled to be in place for approximately five weeks, and is necessary to allow DOTD crews to perform repairs to the girder, bridge piles, and other components. This work will ensure the bridge can remain in service in the future.

This bridge is located approximately 2.3 miles west of LA 1 near the DeSoto Parish line. 

Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

Alternate Route: Detour signage will be in place.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
