The Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival kicks off at 6pm tonight on the Natchitoches Riverbank. The FREE even will feature meat pies, hot air balloons, Brewfest sponsored by Glazer’s Beer and Beverage, LLC, the Cane River Run Ride pre-registration from 7 pm to 9 pm, and LIVE music from the Born To Boogie Band and D.K. Harrell.

On Saturday registration for the 24th Annual Cane River Ride Run begins at 9am. Registration lasts until 11:45 and the ride starts at noon The festival kicks off at 10 am and goes until 10:30 pm, with award-winning meat pies, tethered hot air balloon rides, mechanical rides and inflatables, FREE face painting, games, and arts & crafts with the Natchitoches Parish Library, meat pie eating and judging contests, and LIVE music from Loosey Anna, The Zach George Band, The Clifton Swamp Band, The Lacour Trio, 2023 The Josie Music Awards nominee Bad Moon Rising, award-winning showband Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs, and Grammy-winning Cajun-Zydeco legend Jo-EL Sonnier appearing as a special guest of Johnny Earthquake and the Moondogs.
