Red River Junior High was recognized at the April School Board meeting Monday for excellence in ELA (English Language Arts). School Superintendent Alison Strong told the board that the state Education Department had notified them that the Junior High had been recognized as a Comeback Campus in ELA.
Strong and the leadership of the school displayed the banner awarded to the school in recognition of performing in higher levels of ELA. School test scores were compared to pre-COVID scores to earn the recognition as a Comeback Campus.
Board President Val Cox commented, “It took a lot of hard work for the schools, the teachers and the students who are producing these scores. Speaking for everyone on the board we are proud of Red River Junior High. Keep up the good work.”
