After the Southwood team being unable to find a driver for the bus Thursday night, the Lady Bulldogs made the trip to them, postponing their home opener until Monday, February 27th at 4:30pm against Loyola.
Bryn Danzy, #4, started the Bulldogs off at bat but was hit by the first pitch of the game. She would go on to get seven runs across the plate with her batting for the Lady Bulldogs against Southwood. Danzy had a single in the first, a double in the second, a double in the third, and a ground out in the third. Danzy also led the Lady Bulldogs from the pitcher’s mound, pitching all three innings and striking out six batters.
Danzy said, after the game, when asked about her hitting and if she would hit it out soon, “I got lots of people to prove wrong. I will get my dinger.”
The Lady Bulldogs were all showing out in the batter’s box against the Southwood Lady Cowboys. Third baseman, Makilah Murphy, #1, had the only triple for the night. Danzy, Shelby Pickett #5, Addison Bounds #6, and Kinya Gray #12, all had doubles for the night.
