Two United Methodist Churches in the parish have scheduled Church Conferences for Sunday, October 16.  The conferences were called to take a final vote on disaffiliation with the United Methodist Church.

First United Methodist Church will meet at 5:00 pm and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church will meet at 6:00 pm.  The meetings will be held with the church District Superintendent who will oversee the vote.

For several months the two churches have held meetings and discussions on whether to remain in the United Methodist Church.  That has led to this final vote on the question.

Both churches have been notifying all of their members by letter and other means of the significance of the vote.  All persons on the rolls of the churches are being encouraged to attend the Church Conference and participate in the vote.
