
Red River 4-H reminded members that Friday is the deadline to sign up for Challenge Camp 2022. It will be February 24th and 25th and is for students in grades 7 and 8.

Due to expected freezing weather, comfort stations at our recreation areas will be closed January 20-24.
The National Weather Service forecast for Red River Parish through the weekend calls for some very cold nights and a chance of some severe weather. Here is the forecast for the period.
Wednesday-A slight chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. South wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Wednesday Night-Showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. West wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Thursday-Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Thursday Night-Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Friday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 42.
Friday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 21.
Saturday-Sunny, with a high near 49.
Saturday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 26.
Sunday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 55.
Sunday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 31.
Monday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 62.
