On Tuesday, November 30, the Tallulah Trojans made the long trip to East Point to be handed 4 losses at the hands of the Rebels. The JV Lady Rebels defeated the JV Lady Trojans 33-20. Hanna Catherine Huddleston led all scorers with 8 points. Haylee Smith had 7 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 steals. Mary Claire Jones had 6 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals, while Makayla Pickett also had 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 14 deflections. Jadyn King chipped in 6 points. The varsity Lady Rebels defeated the Lady Trojans 43-29. Sky McMullan had a huge night for the Lady Rebels getting her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 19 rebounds. Mary Claire Jones also had 14 points along with 6 assists. Kenley Loftin scored in double figures with 11 points, while Rylee Kate Woodard had 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 deflections. Jessie Kate Cobb was huge on the boards, pulling down 11 rebounds.

This was the first basketball action of the year for the JV and varsity boys, and they did not disappoint the fans. The JV Rebels defeated the JV Trojans 27-18. Tanner Carlisle led the team in scoring with 8 points, and he also had 8 rebounds. Ashton Almond and Aston Hester had 6 points each. Logan Gryder had 5 points and an outstanding 16 rebounds. In varsity boys’ action, the Rebels defeated the Trojans71-51. Ty Jones had a huge first night of his senior year with 30 points and 6 assists. Caden Long also was in double figures with 12 points. Thad Bates had 8 points, while Ben Almond had 6 points. Denver Williams had 4 points and led the team in rebounds with 11, while also having 5 deflections.

The Claiborne Academy Rebels travelled to East Point on December 6, We will have a recap on these games soon. The varsity Lady Rebels and Rebels will travel to the PVA double header this Friday and Saturday, December 10^th and 11^th. They will have their next home game on Monday, December 13, against Providence Classical Academy. Games will begin with the JV Lady Rebels at 4:00 with 3 more games to follow. Great wins, Rebels!
