Brittney Mancil, 3rd grade teacher at Riverdale, presented a phenomenal session recently at the Northwest Region 4-H Volunteer Leader Conference. 4-H Agent Jacque Fontenot said, “She shared her experience with the 4-h embryology incubating education curriculum that she uses in her classroom. This curriculum covers many of the 3rd and 8th grade life science standards.
“Thank you, Brittney, for your willingness to try something new! If anyone is interested in using this in your classroom, I’ll get you in touch with this lady!! And she’ll tell you how much the kids love learning about science!”
Red River 4-H Club leaders who spent the day at the leader conference were Mrs. Janice Renee Perkins LaCaze, leader at RRJH; Mr. Richard Arnold, leader at RRHS; Mrs. Maressa Halbmaier, one of our leaders at Riverdale; and Brittney Mancil, teacher at Riverdale, for attending! Fontenot said, “I appreciate all of my great leaders and I’m thankful for your love of 4-h and these kids. Thanks to the principals for letting them attend.”
