Fundraiser for Unmet Needs

VFW Post 7287 at Coushatta held a fundraiser last Saturday during the Coushatta Car Show.  Over $100 was raised to go toward meeting the needs of veterans.

It was a hot day downtown, and cold drinks and bottles of water were welcomed by everyone.  The VFW sold drinks for a dollar and gave drinks to all veterans who came by.

The big event was a $50 gift card to York Chop.  Chances were a buck, and the entry by Tonya Cormier won the card.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the VFW national headquarters Unmet Needs fund.

The Coushatta VFW Post and Auxiliary 7287 meet at 7:00 pm on the third Thursday of each month.  Veterans with combat service and relatives of those veterans are invited to attend.  Join the nation’s largest veterans service organization in serving those who have served this nation.
