There is a new Math teacher at Red River High.  Welcome Damion Herron to the community.  He will also be a member of the coaching staff.

My name is Damion Herron.  I am originally from a small town, Crossett AR.  I graduated from High School in 1998.  I then went off to College to be a teacher and a coach. 

I chose this profession due to the impact that a former teacher/coach and athletics had on my life.  In High school I was a 3 sport athlete all through school playing Football, Baseball, and Running Track.  In college I played football as a walk-on for 2 seasons at Arkansas State University. 

I have a Bachelors, master’s in teaching, and a Master’s in Education.  I have been teaching and coaching for 16 years, this will be year 17.  I have been in the State of Louisiana for the last 11 years. 

I am coming to Red River Schools from West Ouachita where I worked the last 2 years.  I am married to my beautiful wife Angie Herron.  We have 3 children who are all married and 5 grandchildren.
