The Jones family gathered in Coushatta this week for a gala celebration. Family gatherings were capped by a large reunion of the clan.
Lem and Margaret Jones both celebrated their 90th birthday and that was really something to celebrate for this well-known local couple. This year they are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary, another reason to celebrate. Topping it off, Lem and Margaret welcomed their four children, spouses, grand-children and great-grand-children to the party.
The climax was Saturday afternoon when everyone gathered at First United Methodist Church. Many friends from the area dropped by to offer birthday and anniversary wishes.
Keeping up with the Joneses was simplified when someone suggested colored t-shirts for each son and their family members.
