Plans are being finalized for the September 10, 2021, Riverdale Academy 50 Years Of Excellence Celebration! Anyone interested in attending the celebration should click on the link at the bottom and complete the attendance form. As a reminder, this celebration is not just for alumni—but rather for anyone with any connection to RA. There is no charge for attendance, but all donations are appreciated, and the names of all donors will be listed in the reunion booklet. All alumni attending the celebration that registered by completing the attendance form will receive this booklet free of charge and it is shaping up to be a real keepsake!
The festivities will begin at 4 pm in the Riverdale Academy gym where tables of memorabilia from the first 50 years of Rebel activity will be on display. If you have something you would like to share, please make note on the “Memorabilia Tables” tab on the Facebook reunion page. Former principals, teachers, coaches, and board members will be in attendance, as well as many alumni and their families, all of whom will want to “catch up.” While music specific to each decade plays in the background, attendees will be able to enjoy refreshments while they visit with old friends and check out the displays of memorabilia, as well as view a video giving some of the history of Riverdale Academy. Also, don’t be surprised if you are interviewed by Riverdale’s own KREB News and end up in a YouTube video!
Those wishing to tour the classrooms will be amazed at the changes that have taken place over the last 50 years. It will be interesting to see who can remember what class they had in each of the rooms, as well as who their teacher was. If only these old buildings could talk!
The 2021 Homecoming Football Game will follow the festivities with recognition of alumni at half-time. Be sure to make plans to stay for the game and cheer on your Rebel team!
