Social Springs Water System sent out an advisory: Electricity is off at the North Well and the generator is not starting. The operator and Swepco are on site trying to get the well back running. There is a boil advisory in effect due to the loss of pressure until further notice. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Red River Cowboy Church is beginning the Therapeutic Riding program. An organizational meeting was held after church last Sunday. Jerry Sally said they have eight riders and about a dozen volunteer workers.
Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education will offer a Pick Up Your Brush painting class on Thursday, June 10 and 24 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the second floor of South Hall. The fee is $45 per session. Each date is a separate session. In the class, participants will learn the art of painting using step-by-step instructions to create a masterpiece.
