For fans it has been a long wait.  The Red River Bulldogs will take the field Friday night for a scrimmage against the Bossier High Bearcats.

The scrimmage was originally scheduled for Thursday, however on Tuesday the school posted, “Football Scrimmage with Bossier has been moved to Friday, September 25th at 6:00pm at Red River Pat Strother Memorial Stadium.   Admission is $5.00 per ticket.   Limited capacity and to purchase a ticket you must have exact amount.”

Journal Sports will be streaming live video of the games this fall beginning with the scrimmage Friday.  We will begin the broadcast at 5:45 pm and the scrimmage begins at 6:00.  Go to Facebook, search for Red River Parish Journal and like and follow the page.

This year The Journal is providing text alerts before each Red River athletic event.  The text messages will go out approximately fifteen minutes before kickoff.
