Two calendars for the upcoming 2020-21 school year are before the public and school board. There will be a special called meeting of the board next week and adoption of a calendar will be on the agenda.
Below are both proposed calendars. Both propose delaying the start of school beyond the original early August date. On both teachers begin professional development on August 3rd. The start date for students is either August 31st or September 8th.
During the Superintendent’s briefing to the school board last Friday and during the question and answer session on Monday, Alison Hughes stated that there would be no educational time lost, that the children would still get their full number of weekly educational minutes as in an ordinary year.
