A reminder for Red River High graduates.  Practice for graduation is this morning at 10:00 am at the new stadium.  Commencement Exercises will be Friday evening at 7:00 pm.

New Life church posted an invitation to a Virtual Midweek bible study coming each Wednesday night in August.  The study begins Wednesday, August 5th at 6:00 pm. We will study the book of Jonah.

Governor Edwards at his news conference Tuesday afternoon said he is keeping an eye on the weather.  Edwards said, “A tropical disturbance has formed north of Cuba.  Current tracks project it going through the Gulf through Texas.”   Edwards told reporters the storm is expected to develop further as it heads west and southeast Louisiana could get winds and heavy rains from the storm as early as Wednesday.  The Governor asked residents to check their hurricane preparedness, just in case.
