The last few vehicles drove through the Mobil COVID-19 testing station in Coushatta shortly before 11:00 am on Friday, July 10th. Then the Louisiana National Guard members packed up their tables, boxes, and test kits and headed out.
The Journal spoke with Specialist Kevin Nguyen about the four day program. He reported that 41 people were tested on the final day. There were a total of 131 tests administered during the week.
Individuals who came to be tested will be notified of the results. The state health department will follow up any positive results with contact tracing. Latest figures from LDH puts the number of confirmed cases in Red River Parish at over 90. Any results from the mobile testing will be added to that total when the test results are completed.
