Giving a Helping Hand

Over the past few days more than 60 handmade washable masks have been created on Ada St. in Coushatta.  Three sisters and one daughter have been turning them out for their loved ones who work in Medical offices and as well as local people who have expressed needs.

When the order to stay at home meant that the Sewing for God Ministry had to hang up their needles for a while, these ladies found a way to continue what they love.  Using fabric from the sewing house, they began cutting patterns and sewing the gear needed by so many.

So far they have sent their masks to workers Coushatta, St. Louis Missouri, Minden, and Shreveport.

Featured in the pictures are seamstresses: Kelley Lee, Norma Lester, Patti Strother, and Susan Taylor.   Kaitlyn Squires Beard is wearing the LSU mask.
