Friday night the Red River Bulldogs began their quest for the state basketball championship. They defeated the Kangaroos from Kentwood High 82 to 48 before a home crowd.
The victory sends the Bulldogs into the second round of the playoffs on Tuesday night. They will be at home hosting Avoyelles High School.
