Therapeutic Riding Fall Schedule Begins Soon

From the Cowboy Church Area:

Our fall session of therapeutic riding is quickly approaching, and we are in constant prayer for it, our riders and their families and our volunteers.
OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE: Our 8-week session will be Mondays ONLY September 9th – October 28th. There will be two classes: 5:00-6:00 and 6:00-7:00. You may choose one or BOTH classes-whichever works best for you.
You do not have to be a “horse person” or even a member of RRCC to be a part of this ministry. If you are able to walk for 30-45 minutes in the arena and have a willing, serving heart, this is for you!
We currently have 9 confirmed riders (typically 5 in one class and 4 in the other). This means we will need 15 volunteers for one class and 12 for the other (minimum as we also have activities/games for the riders that help them with hand-eye coordination, balance and other things on top of having a great time doing it). Safety is our top priority, so we need 3 volunteers per horse/rider. One to lead the horse and two as side walkers for the safety of all involved.
If you are interested in volunteering for our fall session or have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact any of our team members including: Jennifer Freeman-volunteer coordinator at 318-471-6664; Jerry Salley at 318-471-3486; or Cindy Verdun-rider coordinator at 318-663-5434.
