Coushatta Student Earns Top Honors at NSU Commencement

Six students from Coushatta are among those earning degrees from Northwestern State University. A total of 922 graduates who completed coursework in the Summer 2018 and Fall 2018 semesters were conferred degrees. The commencement speaker was State Sen. Gerald Long.

Students from Coushatta are:
LaToya Gray and Erikka Johnson, Associate of General Studies; Dillon Foshee, Bachelor of Arts; Allison Pearah, Bachelor of General Studies; Baley McAlexander, Bachelor of Science; Precious Smith, Bachelor of Social Work;

Northwestern State University recognized top graduates from the Gallaspy College of Education and Human Development, the Louisiana Scholars’ College and the College of Arts and Sciences during morning commencement ceremonies Friday, Dec. 14. From left are Kenedy Lampert of Deville, Madison Milligan of Natchitoches, Antavious Roberson of Arcadia, commencement speaker and NSU alumnus State Senator and Senate President Pro Tempore Gerald Long, NSU President Dr. Chris Maggio, Baley McAlexander of Coushatta, Lauren Nelson of Ringgold Hannah Glaze of LeCompte.
