Our local Coushatta Library hosted the “Lawyers in Libraries” clinic on 10/24/2018 between 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If you missed it, unfortunately you will have to wait until next year when it comes back to the Coushatta Library.
Director of the Library, Trey Lewis is very excited about the clinic and stated that he thinks it is a great thing for the community. The Lawyer Aaron Wilson donated his time to assist our community with free legal advice.
Mr. Wilson provided answers to questions about bankruptcy, custody, divorce, medicaid, social security, successions, taxes and wills. There were five individuals helped by Mr. Wilson during the clinic.
This program is a nationwide program and is organized for the State of Louisiana by The Louisiana Bar Association. The clinics for the State of Louisiana are to be held during the week of October 22-27. During this week, LSBA members will provide free, limited services to the public at local libraries statewide. Attorneys may provide general “Ask-a-Lawyer” 15-minute consultations.
