Librarian Trey Lewis said the Red River Parish Library has a person doing tax forms. The schedule for this service is as follows: Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30-1:00.
The next sessions of free tax help at the library will be on March 1st, 8th, 15th, 20th, and 22nd. Lewis said the dates for April are the 3rd, 5th, 10th and 12th. Lewis added it is self-prep only and it will be free to efile.
To take advantage of the free tax help at the library, Lewis said bring a picture id, social security card, and all tax documents. You will also need to bring proof of health insurance and 1095s, copies of last years return and a check for direct deposit. And Lewis added to qualify for the service your gross income must be under $66,000.
Free tax help at the Red River Parish Library is free but you must pay for your own copies should any be necessary.
