Phil lives in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and is the reason for those folks to hold a festival and celebrate. Red River may have a few groundhogs, however Phil is the official shadow watcher. Legend has it if Phil sees his shadow when emerging from his den and then goes back down the hole there will be six more weeks of winter.

Wasn’t the eclipse of the moon spectacular? If you were up early you got to see a partial eclipse. A rare occurrence because it was a blue moon (2nd full moon in a calendar month); and it was an eclipse of the moon. On top of that it was a blood moon (a reddish tint caused by the earth’s shadow). Great sight.
