A burn ban has been declared for all of Red River Parish. The weather has been extremely dry in recent days. The next significant rain in the forecast is a 60 percent chance of rain on Sunday night.

Thursday the Red River Parish Fire Protection District posted on their Facebook page the following burn ban notice:

“10-12-17. Effective today, Red River Parish is now under a parish wide burn ban. No outside burning at this time.”
