More Relief Is on the Way

RRPJ-Cowboy Church Flood Relief-17Sep8

Pastor Clyde Miley with Red River Cowboy Church checked in with The Journal to let you know the church is sending a second truck load of relief supplies to flooded areas of Texas. They are gathering supplies this weekend.

Miley said, “We’ve already carried one truck load and we are gathering more. The supplies are headed to a Cowboy Church we are working with in Vidor, Texas.”

They are asking people to donate non-perishable foods, baby supplies including formula, feminine products and similar items for members of families whose homes were flooded.

Donations can be dropped off at Cowboy Church at Lake End anytime over the weekend. Miley said, “The truck pulls out Monday morning at 9 am. Just set your donations on the front porch. Someone will be around to pack the truck.”

Red River Cowboy Church plans on sending volunteers to the Vidor area later on. Miley said, “Our church is working with Cowboy Churches in that area of Texas and they will be helping cleanup and fix-up their homes. But right now, they need the supplies for everyday living.”

And Miley reminded everyone, “We’ll leave the gate open!”
