The annual Independence Bowl Foundation/Northwestern State Kickoff Luncheon is tomorrow (August 24th) at Superior’s Steakhouse in Shreveport.
 The 11:45 a.m. event will feature Demons head football coach Jay Thomas and NSU Director of Athletics Greg Burke speaking to the crowd.

Reservations are requested and can be made by calling the Independence Bowl office at 318-221-0712 or toll free at 888-414-BOWL (2695). The lunch carries an all-inclusive charge of $20 per person, and attendees are asked to please pay with cash if possible.

The event has been staged for well over 20 years each August. In 1996, the Independence Bowl/NSU Kickoff Luncheon was Burke’s first public function as AD.
