On August 9, 2017 Red River Parish Sheriff’s deputies, along with members of the Tri-Parish Drug Taskforce, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1300 block of Suzanne Street in Coushatta. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with, and identified the occupants of the dwelling as Devontis Brewer and Lauren McVean. A child, approximately 1 year of age, was also present.
