Services offered by the Family Justice Center of Northwest Louisiana. The program operates under the umbrella of the Webster-Bossier District Attorney’s office on a state grant from the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and the federal Victims Against Crime Act.

For Red River residents they provide a one stop referral service working with victims of domestic violence. Red River District Attorney Julie Jones is on their board of directors.

The Journal spoke with Family Justice Center Executive Director Jeri Bowen. She said, “We help abuse victims with finding shelter, getting protective orders, food and clothing, and relocating if that is necessary.” Bowen added, “There is a victims assistance office in each DA’s office in this part of the state. We assist approximately 25 to 30 people each month.
