The Red River Parish Library Summer Reading Program on Monday July 17th will feature Texas’ Magic Ambassador David G. Wonders. The program starts at 2:00 pm and is free for kids of all ages.
DOTD will be making lane closures on I-49 near the US 371/LA 177 interchange for the next few days. It’s part of the movement of draglines across I-49 for the Dolet Hills Mine.
Mark July 28th on your calendar. The Red River High Athletic Booster Club will be selling fish plates at Rivertown Market to raise funds to support all high school teams next year.
July 22nd is the monthly Senior Dance at the Council on Aging. The Playmates will be playing from 7 to 10 pm. Over charge is $6.
Get out your August Calendar. First Baptist Church is having a “Spiritual Outdoor Adventure” on the 8th. The Riverdale Academy Ice Cream Social is scheduled for the 10th. Monday August 7th is the monthly Police Jury meeting. All school children go back to class on August 9th. The School Board meets second Monday or August 14th. Coushatta Town Council meets on the third Tuesday or August 15th. And Football scrimmages and Jamborees will be held late in the month.
