The parish OEP office continues to collect data on damage from the storm May 28th. If you suffered property damage and have not reported it, go the Office of Emergency Preparedness Facebook page and fill out the form.

Jeremy Key is still at large. The Journal checked with the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office Thursday afternoon to see if Key had been apprehended. Public Information Officer Troy Murray said he is still at large. Key is wanted on attempted murder charges. Deputies from Red River and Natchitoches parishes stopped his vehicle on US 71 in south Red River parish on June 2nd but Key fled the scene.

Tomorrow June 10th is sign-up day for Red River High School’s summer Basketball Camp. The high school boys and girls basketball teams will be conducting a skills camp designed for elementary school students. Sign up will be at the high school from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon tomorrow. Sign up is being conduced each weekday during June 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the elementary school. The camp costs $30 with a discount for additional children in the same family.
