Red River Parish School System has been recognized among Louisiana’s top-performing school systems in mathematics based on the latest statewide results. In addition to its high performance, the district is also being noted as one of the top-growing school systems in the entire state for grades 3–8, posting an impressive 6% growth in math.

District leaders credit the gains to targeted intervention, teacher collaboration, and a sustained focus on strengthening foundational math skills across grade levels. The accomplishment places Red River Parish in elite academic company and highlights the district’s upward trajectory.

Officials say they plan to build on the momentum with continued instructional support, data-driven teaching strategies, and student engagement initiatives to keep scores moving in the right direction.

“We’re proud to celebrate Louisiana’s top-performing school systems in math. Their exceptional 2025 LEAP results reflect the hard work and dedication of educators, students, and families across the state. Congratulations to all who made this achievement possible,” the Louisiana Department of Education said in a statement.
